Drawing straight lines

The following explanations can be applied to all the tools that are use doing strokes :

• the drawing tools,
• the focus tools,
• the toning tools,
• the eraser,
• the finger paint,
• the clone tool,
• the freehand selection tool.

All this tools requiring from time to time the ability to make precise straight-edged segments, they naturally implement it in the same way :

• To draw a straight line with any of these tools, click on one point of the image and then press Shift and click on another point. Doing so Photonyx draws a straight line between the two defined points using the selected tool.
• To draw either horizontal or vertical lines press mouse button and then Shift and start to drag. Pressing the Shift Key while dragging snaps the stroke back into perpendicular alignement (whether horizontal or vertical depending on the angle of the stroke).
